Note: There are two kinds of activities which take place at Church House.
     a) public events (fetes, concerts, exhibitions, talks, whist drives, etc.); publicised on this page.      
b) private bookings for meetings (e.g. Mothers Union, Moorland Farmers,etc.) classes (water colour painting, figure drawing, accordion, etc), training (Devon Education, thatching, etc.), social occasions (weddings, awards, company outings, etc.) and so on.

21st March 8 pm Concert. Jackie Oates plus guitarist Tristan Seume A singer and fiddle player hailing originally from Staffordshire. 31 st March 10.00 - 4.00 Church House Spring Clean Can you spare an hour or so to get ready for the 2014 season? Soup at lunchtime and coffee and buns during the day for any volunteers  
7th April 7.30 pm AGM A warm welcome is extended to all our supporters.  
12 Apr 10.00 - 12.00 Spring Market

This market will be held in conjunction with the St. Andrew's Open Churchyard Event which will enable people to view and comment on the Biodiversity & Management Plan which has been drawn up for the churchyard. See Poster

4 May 10.00 - 5.00 Open Gardens 2 Town Barton is opening its Garden under the National Garden Scheme. This small but diverse garden has been developed as a sustainable forest garden filled with plants and vegetables, the vast majority of which are edible or useful. Refreshments throughout the day at Church House.  
9 May 8.00 pm Folk Concert

'Chucklefoot' aka Roger Butler.
'A bit of jazz, a dash of skiffle, some blues, comedy songs, music hall songs, sing-along, cockney songs and lots of self-penned material - all played with oodles of getup and go and plenty of humour!'

An evening of toe-tapping Tin Pan Alley music with Geoff Lakeman, Steve Redman and Steve Potter performed on guitar, violin, authentic 1920s concertina, vocals and spoons. Expect a dose of good time musical madness, dazzling culinary percussion and hankie-wringing sentimentality.

Huw Williams & Maartin Allcock Singer songwriter Huw is well known individually and also for his work with Tony Willams, Maart has played in a variety of bands including Fairport Convention and Jethro Tull and is an internationally recognised and respected multi instrumentalist. Having met on a Fairport convention tour bus in 1995 the two have come together with a performance of stories about life on the road, soundchecks and how and why some of the songs were written. A concert of foot tapping tunes and beautiful songs with anecdotes that will both captivate and make you laugh.

The Carrivick Sisters

The Carrivick Sisters are one of the UK's top young bluegrass and folk acts. Twins Laura and Charlotte perform their original songs and instrumentals along with a few carefully chosen covers on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobra, and claw hammer banjo.They have built a reputation for engaging and entertaining live performances with tight sibling vocal harmonies and multi-instrumental virtuosity. Having grown up in South Devon, an area rich in folk lore and legends, much of their original material is inspired by their local surroundings and history.soundchecks and how and why some of the songs were written. A concert of foot tapping tunes and beautiful songs with anecdotes that will both captivate and make you laugh.
